Designer Spotlight: Spanish Designer Elisa Palomino

Spanish fashion designer, Elisa Palomino caught my attention because I saw a few images of her F/W 2010 Collection and her flair for the dramatic was so intriguing that I had to go and check it out for myself. She pull together quite a few trends into one collection. Normally, I don't feel like that works but in Palomino's case, it just made you want more. It was cohesive because each piece brought its own drama to the runway. My fav without a doubt is the flapper-style dress with the fringes. Love that. {images via Elle.com}

Designer Spotlight: Back to Africa with Duro Olowu

Nigerian-born Duro Olowu has been in love with textures and fabrics since he was a child. So it seemed very natural for him to bypass a legal career for a career in fashion. Twelve months after the debut of his October 2004 collection, Olowu won the prestigious BFA "Designer of the Year" award in 2005. He has been upward and onward every since. Fashion Designer Spotlight: Nicholas Kirkwood

You know my fashion lust is primarily about shoes. I can not buy clothes for months, but can't go too long without buying a pair of fab shoes. So this week's fashion designer spotlight is on the way fabulous Nicholas Kirkwood. Kirkwood, the darling British designer who graced the fall 2008 runways from New York to Milan, has consistenly pushed the envelope on shoe designs with his unusual shapes, mixture of leathers and textures, and color palettes.
