One of my all time favorite movies is Mahogany. If you have yet to see this film you need to immediately buy it on Amazon.com (or just watch it on YouTube)! Not only is this a classic love story with a fantastic plot but Diana Ross sports a fabulous sense of fashion throughout the movie (all of the costumes were designed by the star herself). It's no wonder she was the world's biggest diva back in her heyday!
Ms. Ross graced us with hot wearable street fashion.
Showed us you can be hard at work and look chic, too!
Have a fabulously decorated apartment [even though you're broke].
Be in love with a suave, fashion-forward, handsome boyfriend (check out the turtleneck and blazer combo).
Have a creepy photographer who is enamored by your glamorous look obsessing over you.
Currently I am in love with Oscar De La Renta's new 2011 line: Resort. I absolutely adore this gorgeous green dress! I first saw the dress over at Taryn Cox's blog. I am loving every inch of this dress- from the ruffled sweatheart neckline to the dramatic drapping of the bottom of the dress sweeping the floor.
I love Black Halo. I adore all of their draped dresses. So figure flattering... with the help of a little spanx, of course. The sleeve action is so unique and really truly, I don't care as long as I can raise my martini glass. Get it at Saks.
I have seen this dress quite a few times in a few magazines. So I finally went to check it out and it is so cute. I love the detail around the neckline. Get it at Chadwick's for $49.99.
When I opened this email from Burberry about its new spring line, I was so moved by the photography ('cause I am a sucker for beautiful photography), I quickly clicked on the link. Of course, the site was gorgeous. I just wanted everything but the dress on the right in this picture was my absolute favorite. Now if I could just convince someone that it's my birthday... hmmmmmmm....
Luella Bartely wanted to see lots of color in her Spring line. She definitely accomplished this task. She uses the brightest pinks, oranges, and purples. What a collection. See more about the designer here. [images via Style.com]
Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto forged a partnership in the early 90's, The two quickly gained a reputation for incisive and intelligent print design with their work being displayed on the catwalks of the world through work with Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Alexander McQueen, Alber Elbaz and Jil Sander, to name but a few. I love it when a partnership produces such beauty.
