TYSONS CORNER CENTER PARTNERS WITH NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC TO ENRICH FAMILY SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

Kids Club To Offer More Fun, More Education Starting January 2013

Tysons Corner Center is proud to announce a partnership with National Geographic to bring even more fun and more education to its Kids Club programming.

Guests of the Tysons Corner Center Kids Club can plan on attending the first Club Meeting set for this Saturday, February 2 from 10AM-noon. Our kick-off program, just in time for winter, will be a “Polar Party.”  Participants will have the opportunity to compare hand prints to polar bear paws, participate in a sing-along, color in polar animals, get their faces painted, pick up polar balloon animals, as well as meet and hang out with Tommy McFly from 94.7 FRESH-FM’s Morning Show – who will be giving out prizes all morning long.

Parents and kids also can enjoy the educational fun at home, with materials available online, at the mall and as part of the Kids Club Newsletter.  The Kids Club program will offer a new theme bi-monthly, with topics ranging from the oceans and animals to insects and outer space.  Following our Polar Party, we will dig deep with dinosaurs and head into spring with springtime fun. From fun facts to photos with friends, parents and kids will enjoy all there is to discover at the exciting new Kids Club at Tysons Corner Center.

“Great experiences for families and kids are an important part of what our mall offers the community,” said Bob Maurer, Senior Marketing Manager, Tysons Corner Center. “National Geographic is an iconic name in fun and educational experiences for young people, and we are very proud to add this exciting new element to our Kids Club.”

Spring Fever

Edited by Jennine Jacob

Do you get spring fever? Oh man… the itch to run around outside in flowery prints and frilly laces gets greater and greater each passing day. To heck with chunky sweaters! This week we have a load of great spring style posts, Holier Than Now checks out cape coats, if you’re strapped for cash Out of Order gives the perfect 45min spring skirt tutorial, so cute! And girly clothes not your thing? The Demoiselles has a great homage to genderbending unisex looks. I’ve been thinking of doing a couple of days in menswear myself. Well, as soon as I learn how to tie the half Windsor knot.

There were so, so many great links this week, it really was hard to narrow it down to 2o. Check out the full listing of Links à la Mode here.

My Faves From Fashion Week: Badgley Mischka

There are two men on the fashion scene that never disappoint. Those two guys are Mark Badgley and James Mischka. I mean really... are these drop dead gorgeous or what? I was so happy to see them take on the bridal gown market because the same luscious fabulousness that are in their ready-to-wear line, you will see in their bridal line. Love these guys. Here are my favorites with the first dress as my absolute fav. See more on their web site.

My Faves From Fashion Week: Catherine Malandrino

I do believe that Catherine Malandrino can be added to my favorite designers list. I had seen pieces here and there in Vogue and Elle but after seeing her collection for fall, I am a new fan. Her pieces are definitely are accessible and totally ready for wear anytime. Here are my favorites. You can see more here.

My Faves From Fashion Week: Zac Posen

I adore Zac Posen. He is one of my favorite designers. He has the girly, flirty, sexy thing down. I would die to wear one of his gowns. So he had to be one of my picks for faves from Fashion Week. Here are my must haves from his fall collection. See more here. His line is available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Saks.

My Faves From Fashion Week: Douglas Hannant

I became familiar with Douglas Hannant when I discovered his amazing bridal collection last year. But this line is so exquisite yet bold. I was so moved by this collection that I could not just choose a few. I had to choose many! Each piece was special in its own way and could easily stand alone. I could not decide on a favorite. So there are many favorites and you can see more, including his bridal collection here.

My Faves From Fashion Week: Mrs. Beckham

I do not envy anyone but the closest that I come to envy would be for Victoria Beckham's sexy life. Not so much for what she does, but because of course she is married to the sexiest man alive, David Beckham. Wow! Okay, moving on :-)

Mrs. B came to conquer us yanks and she has made a wonderful start. Her spring collection was okay but I love her fall collection. She is also keeping her lines very clean and her silhouettes very modern and chic. These pieces scream VB! I love the Morticia look of her gowns. You go V. I love ya. Here are my favorites:
