Local thrift stores and consignment shops around the country have seen a significant increase in patronage leaving the Neiman & Marcuses trying to figure out how to increase sales. Current economic conditions have encouraged once lavish spenders to cut back and save their money for a rainy day.

D.C. resident and arts consultant Seshat Walker of The General Store Inc is hosting a summer clothing swap meet and greet on Saturday, May 15 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M at the Warehouse Loft located on 411 New York Avenue in Northeast DC. $7 admission fee will be charged. DC Fashionista Event: HIRE FASHION @ Georgetown U

The George Washington University Multicultural Business Student Association Presents Hire Fashion MBSA's 5th Annual Charity Fashion Show. Come Prepare for tomorrow and follow contemporary fashion of our young professionals on Wednesday April 7th at the Marvin Center Grand Ballroom. Doors open at 6, Show Begins at 7.
