WHAT'S HOT @ LONDON FASHION WEEK: Matthew Williamson Has Texture Galore

Rich textures, embellishments and vibrant colors were combined elegantly in the Matthew Williamson SS/11 collection at London Fashion Week. I loved all of those fabulous tiered skirts and embellished dresses. I especially loved the first dress below. That is a "Janice" dress for sure. I love how it has an artistic flair. The blues that he used are so deep and rich. There are even splashes of metallic. See his entire fabulous collection on the official site of London Fashion Week. WHAT'S HOT @ LONDON FASHION WEEK: Burberry For Me, Please

There was metallic and leather and motorcycle pants and pastel belts and studs everywhere parading down the runway at Burberry's SS/11 runway show at London Fashion Week. If you know me, you know that I believe that Christopher Bailey is the Burberry's savior. He pulled that brand into modernity and infused it with the youth needed to bring it to life. He has managed every season to push Burberry one step ahead of the pack. I am currently swooning over the leather jackets with shearling collars for the fall. LONDON FASHION WEEK: Holly Fulton & Her Architectural Masterpieces

Holly Fulton used bright colors and architectural elements to tell her story at London Fashion Week SS/11. She used a lot of bright yellow, turquoise, and feathers. Yes, feathers were everywhere. I love a great print and Fulton hit the spot with this collection. I really loved the long pink skirt with that great graphic print. I would wear that to death. Designer Spotlight: Modernist - Abdul Koroma & Andrew Jones

Forging an alliance in the name of competition proved to be very smart idea for Sierra Leonean Adbul Koroma and Brit Andrew Jones. As a result, the two launched Modernist. This is the most appropriate name that I could think of to describe their amazing collection. I would have liked to see just a tad bit more color in their collection, their Spring/Summer '09 line does not disappoint. There is a wonderful mixture of classic lines, bows, ruffles and sheer fabrics to give any girl that perfect girly, feminine look.
