DC FASHION EVENT: KNOW FASHION PRESENTED BY @KOLTONJ W/NO KINGS COLLECTIVE

DC Designers and Artists Come Together for “Know Fashion” Presented by KOLTON.J in Collaboration with No Kings Collective on October 18th

What: On October 18th, fashion and art collide at 915 F Street for Know Fashion presented by KOLTON.J jewelry in collaboration with No Kings Collective. The evening will be hosted by KOLTON.J designer Jenny Schretter and Kate Michael of K Street Magazine, featuring a silent auction, live painting session by Maggie O’Neill, an installation environment designed by artist Brandon Hill and a full runway presentation featuring nationally recognized DC-based womenswear, menswear and accessory designers. Doors open at 8pm with a Silent Auction featuring artwork and deals from local businesses, a live silk screening by Twice as Warm and music by DJ Spencer Tracey and Jerome Baker III and bar featuring Filibuster Bourbon and Tito’s Vodka.

Dispelling the notion that DC has “no fashion,” Know Fashion will present a cutting edge runway exhibition for a good cause. A portion of the evenings proceeds will benefit The KOLTON.J Commitment, part of The DC Fashion Foundation 501c3, a social impact initiative by KOLTON.J designed to empower underprivileged and marginalized women by providing new economic opportunities, job training and educational resources while serving as a means of art therapy through handicraft production.

The full runway show will begin at 10pm, featuring an incredible line up of talent from KOLTON.J (www.koltonj.com), Walish Gooshe (http://www.walishgooshe.com/),Commonwealth (http://www.cmonwealth.com/), Accoutre (http://www.accoutre.me/) and Tsyndyma (www.tsyndyma.com) coupled with a collaboration performance with world renowned dancer Geoffrey “Toyz Are Us” Chang and international recording artist Tabi Bonney and a special surprise musical guest from 11pm-2am.

"I'm very excited to showcase and celebrate the diverse and recognized talent of the DC fashion community through a high quality event that fuses art, style, and entertainment," says KOLTON.J founder Jenny Schretter. "By fusing high fashion and art alongside the No Kings Collective, we're bringing events to a whole new level in DC."
