On Sunday night, I attended the fabulous RAMMYS Awards Ceremony at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park, hosted by Sue Palka. Many thanks to the lovely Dusty for her invitation.
I love a party with a theme and this year's theme was the Fabulous 40's. So guests were asked to don their best outfits from the 40's. Of course, I perused every corner of that hotel in order to seek out the night's best dressed. But that will come later.
It was an awards ceremony so there were winners who walked away with beautiful crystal keepsakes to remind them that for 2009, they were the best of the best in dining in the D.C. Metropolitan area. Palka made a joke earlier in the evening that the winners had to keep their speeches to 30 seconds. Funny enough, most folks didn't go much longer than a minute or two. So the awards ceremony went by pretty fast. Barbara Fairchild, Editor-in-Chief of Bon Appetit magazine made a special appearance to present several awards including Chef of the Year and Fine Dining Restaurant, to name a few. RAMW President, Lynne Breaux was on hand to oversee the night's festivities.

I had on this amazing seafoam green organza dress by Lorick New York that I bought during the snowstorm. With 20+ inches of snow on the ground, there wasn't much else to do but eat, sleep, and shop. I found the cutest black flower belt at The Limited. I bought these amazing art deco style accessories including a fab black ring with a great rhinestone pattern and a gorgeous rhinestone headband from Forever 21. My dainty little bracelet was from New York & Company and my dainty little earrings from Aldo Accessories. So what about shoes, you say? Well, my fab black satin shoes with round rhinestone buckles had that perfect vintage feel but were a pair of very modern day Claudia Ciuti shoes.
