The art of fashion illustration has been dying out slowly. Very few fashion designers actually sketch nowadays. It is so sad. Fashion sketches used to be one of the defining traits of a great designer. There are art books on book store shelves full of famous fashion illustrations by some of the greats in fashion. So I was elated to find out about Designer Laura Su of Prismera Design. Her fashion illustrations are simply beautiful.
There are five prints in this collection: Scarlet, Cadmium Yellow, Emerald, Cobalt and Coral. Each is printed on slightly textured 100% cotton rag paper using professional archival inks. Su loves watercolor as it takes her back to her days at art school. Exploring color allowed her to experiment in new ways that would eventually influence her jewelry line.
The prints are available as:
5” x 7” print - $20 (with frame, add $30)
11” x 14” print - $46 (with frame, add $45)
Set of 3 (5” x 7”) - $55
Set of 3 (11” x 14”) - $133
Additionally, Series I of the fashion illustrations will be exclusively offered as 4” x6” postcards, each with rounded corners and blank backs. A set of 12 (variety of four different cards, 3 each) will retail for $18. (Custom illustrations are still available for $275.) All postcards and illustrations are available at Prismera Design.

I'm obsessed with fashion illustrations (probably b/c I can't draw). Love these!
